Compeer’s mental health education program promotes the overall awareness of mental health and mental wellness. We are committed to aiding in the fight against mental health stigma locally and internationally. Mental health education at Compeer normalizes mental health on a spectrum and encourages others to #checkonyourfriends.
Through training and education, we foster a culture of:
De-stigmatizing and inclusive language
Creating space for conversations around mental health and mental wellness
Supporting individuals on the spectrum of mental health, striving for wellness
Providing resources, tools, and information that connect people to help
Increased awareness on signs and symptoms of mental health challenges
How to engage in situations whether someone is in a crisis or non-crisis
